CANDIDATES:
Effective July 1, 2020, exam candidates who have received a baccalaureate degree in building construction from an accredited 4-year college and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher are exempt from having to take the trade knowledge portion of the exam. You will only be required to register for Business and Finance.
EXEMPTION: If you hold a Current, Active license having previously passed the Business and Finance exam AND you have received a baccalaureate degree in building construction from an accredited 4-year college and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, you do not need to complete the CILB Examination Application through Professional Testing, Inc. Please visit the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for instructions on how to have your Trade Knowledge portion(s) waived and to apply for licensure.

PLUMBING Candidates only:
Plumbing (trade knowledge) examinations are administered in paper and pencil format until June 2026. The exam events for February 25, 2026 and April 15, 2026 are currently at full capacity. We are accepting a wait list of Plumbing Trade Knowledge registrations for the June 03, 2026 exam date until May 03, 2026.
To be placed in the Plumbing Trade Knowledge paper administration exam WAIT LIST please email us for a paper application by May 03, 2026. Space will be limited.

To schedule any computer based examination, you must wait 10 to 14 business days after submitting your application before calling Pearson VUE at 888-204-6230.
If you have any questions regarding your Trade Knowledge, Contract Administration or Project Management registration, please call our customer service center at 407-264-0562.
Tower Specialty, Demolition Specialty and Industrial Facilities Specialty, must pass the same General category examination of three parts: Contract Administration, Project Management and Business and Finance.
If it has been over 14 business days and you have not received an email from Pearson VUE authorizing you to test, please follow the below steps:
1. Contact Pearson Vue to confirm that they have received your registration and schedule your exams.
2. If Pearson Vue does not have any records of your registration, please email us at FLConstruction@proftesting.com. and include the following information:
- First, Last Name
- Last 4 digits of your SSN
- The email address used to set up your account.
If you are having trouble scheduling your CBT exams with Pearson VUE, please try the following:
1. When trying to schedule with Pearson VUE, it is best, at this time, to schedule online by creating an online account.
2. Candidates are advised to frequently check examination availability through their online account with Pearson VUE as seats may open due to cancellation or expanded capacity.

Use of Professional Testing, DBPR and Pearson VUE Logos:
- DBPR has not given approval for any school or entity in using DBPR, Professional Testing or Pearson VUE logo.
- Any reference list that is not in its original cover will not be accepted in the examination room.
- BET does not recommend or advise any candidates on the use of copied reference materials that is not in original form.
- Any school or entity does not have DBPR, Pearson VUE or PT approval to give the impression that any book, booklet, study guide, etc. is approved by us all. BET does not support such action.
